African-American Community Outreach Specialist
The Rape Crisis Center, Inc. (RCC) is seeking a full-time African American-Community Outreach Specialist (AACOS). This position requires someone with a demonstrated personal commitment and professional experience with African American communities in Dane County, WI. As part of an agency-wide transformative initiative, the AACOS will help grow RCC's culturally-rich response to victims/survivors of sexual assault through building and strengthening relationships with African American communities. The AACOS will strive to increase access to the Rape Crisis Center's services as well as local African American sexual assault victim/survivor counseling services. RCC, founded in 1973, is Dane County's 24-hour sexual assault victim crisis and support agency. RCC promotes hope, help and healing for those harmed by sexual violence and strives, through education and outreach, to create social change to end sexual violence.

A successful candidate will have knowledge about and/or commitment to learn about trauma-informed care, sexual assault, rape, molestation, sexual violence and incest as well as gender identity competency. Understanding of the intersectionality of oppression of varying groups is essential. The right candidate will have personal experience with African American communities; networking and outreach skills; excellent public speaking skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; be organized, and excel at project coordination. Ability to travel throughout Dane County for meetings and events is required. A flexible schedule allows for day, evening and weekend hours.

Outreach and Education Specialist
Rape Crisis Center, Inc. (RCC), serving Dane County, Wisconsin and located in Madison, is seeking a full-time time Outreach and Education Specialist (OES) to develop, evaluate and implement outreach and education programming throughout Dane County. As Dane County's only 24-hour sexual assault victim support agency, RCC, founded in 1973, promotes hope, help and healing for those harmed by sexual violence and strives, through education and outreach, to create social change to end sexual violence.

The OES is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of outreach programming to youth and adults throughout Dane County. RCC outreach increases victim access to RCC's counseling, support, medical advocacy and legal advocacy and educates the community on the personal, familial and community impact of sexual assault, through education and outreach platforms. The OES is responsible for developing effective outreach materials and outreach education curriculum; recruiting and training Outreach Educator Volunteers; and building relationships with new and existing community partners. This position is supervised by the Director of Education and Outreach Programming (DEOP), who works closely with the Director of Client Programming on quality outreach initiatives.

A successful candidate will have a clear understanding of sexual violence and related issues, the ability to build strong relationships with youth, adult and diverse audiences, a Bachelor's degree preferred though relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, excellent public speaking, verbal communication and written communication skills; personal and professional experience with, and/or the commitment and capacity to learn, gender identity competency and cultural competency in African American, Latin@, Asian and other cultures represented in Dane County and the ability to organize and maintain materials, data, meeting minutes and logistics. The right candidate will have experience using graphic design, be comfortable and competent working independently and as part of a team and be free to work day, evening and weekend hours depending on outreach schedule. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English and have experience developing outcome-driven curricula for diverse audiences.

Prevention and Evaluation Specialist

(RCC), serving Dane County, Wisconsin and located in Madison, is seeking a full-time time Prevention and Evaluation Specialist (PES) to develop, implement, and evaluate primary prevention programming throughout Dane County through a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention grant ending on July 31, 2018.

RCC was founded in 1973 and is Dane County's only 24-hour sexual assault victim support agency. RCC's mission is to promote hope, help and healing for those harmed by sexual violence and strive, through education and outreach, to create social change to end sexual violence.

Competitive candidates will have experience with qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, as well as experience developing outcome-driven curriculua for diverse audiences. A successful candidate will have a clear understanding of sexual violence and related issues; the ability to build strong relationships with youth, adult and diverse audiences; excellent communication skills; and the ability to organize and maintain materials, data, meeting minutes and logistics. The PES must have personal and professional experience with, and/or the commitment and capacity to learn, gender identity competency and cultural competency in African American, Latino, Asian and other cultures represented in Dane County.
